M        My Song

Close your eyes for a while, smile when you think of me.

The laughter, the tears, the jokes, the fears, love was our perfect key.

A beautiful and strong beginning, songs my daddy made me sing.

I danced, I glowed, young and vibrant, you know, always doin’ my thing.

My perfect pitch, my perfect laugh, my tones made you all smile.

Laughter nonstop it seemed, who would think it was only for a while?

With unique soul and sass, I sang a melody bold and sweet.

Life hasn’t always been easy for me, yet I laughed in the face of defeat.

My smile, my words, my woes, my cares,

Only remember these things, we laughed, we shared.

I’m going somewhere, I say, dancing and singing all day.

No more sickness there, no more worries and no more cares.

So when you’re missing me, just hum a little tune.

You know, the one I loved to sing and captivate a room.

My song was my life and to Him the last song I sing.

Forever and ever, it won’t end.  His grace is SO amazing.

If I could say one last thing today, I would testify to you all

About the Lord’s goodness and mercy, and how He answered my every call.

I’d tell you all to live life with no worries, fears, or doubts.

Jesus is a keeper, a lover, my Savior, and He is sure to bring you out.

So let Him in your heart today, He’ll be right there, your friend.

Do just this and I promise to see you again, and we’ll sing a song that never ends.

Love Always,
