Dave Hoffman and Friends on Sunday at four in the afternoon, Westminster Presbyterian Church, Peoria has inaugurated a new Jazz Vesper service with Dave Hoffman and various friends filling the church with everything from cool to hot jazz in praise of God. Dave doesn’t water anything down, so we hear the best of his art in this service of worship.
Vespers are a very old tradition in the Christian Church. The form is simple with Scripture, Prayers and music … along with a short Homily (sermon). It is a forty minute service, keeping it within the bounds of possibility for even younger children. We hope it will truly become a way to bridge all age groups … worshipping together each week.

Jazz Nights in the Heights at Trailside Event Center, second floor of Trefzger's Bakery, 4416 N. Prospect Road, Peoria Heights.
Disorganizer harnesses the spirit of free jazz into approachable, unique instrumental music. An innate ability to create within the moment allows their music to transcend traditional genre boundaries, while maintaining a collective sound and feeling. The band is comprised of Michael Carlson (drums), Ryan Nolan (bass), Stefen Robinson (electric mandolin) and Travis Thacker (saxophone). Based in Bloomington, IL and founded in 2015, Disorganizer is forging their path via high energy live performances.

The Central Illinois Jazz Society House Band will play during the first set, under the leadership of Larry Harms - sax
