Jazz Nights in the Heights at Trailside Event Center, second floor of Trefzger's Bakery, 4416 N. Prospect Road, Peoria Heights.
The Joe Park Trio is a St. Louis based swing/jazz trio led by guitarist Joe Park. He is joined by bassist Guy Cantonwine and drummer Drew Weiss.
The group came together working as the rhythm section for STL jazz singer Sarah Jane. They found a common mutual interest in the swinging guitarist led trios of the 1950’s like Barney Kessel and Kenny Burrell.
Along with other engagements, the Joe Park Trio has been the Wednesday night band at Yaquis on Cherokee in St. Louis since 2017. In 2018 the trio went to Nashville to record their first album “Out of Nowhere”. Their 2020 release “Let’s Get Cookin” was recorded live at the Dark Room in St. Louis.

The Central Illinois Jazz Society House Band will play during the first set, under the leadership of Larry Harms - sax
. The CIJS House Band features outstanding jazz musicians from the area. They will present a mixture of jazz styles. For more information visit www.cijs.org or call 243-1582. Beverages are available for purchase at this live jazz program.
