This will be our first program at Trailside Event Center, second floor of Trefzger's Bakery, 4416 N. Prospect Road, Peoria Heights.
The Todd Kelly Quintet is our guest group for the June 18 Jazz Society program. Todd Kelly leads the quintet on trumpet, with Steve Heinemann on saxophones, Mike Stryker on piano, Andy Crawford on bass, and Tom Marko on drums. The Todd Kelly Quintet will present original tunes and lesser-known jazz standards. The group has performed regularly at Eamon Patrick’s, as well as performing for the CEFCU Jazz Series, Jazz UpFront and several concerts at Bradley University. This will be a terrific evening of jazz, with some of the most talented jazz musicians in the area combining their skills.
Todd is Professor of Trumpet and Jazz at Bradley University, where he directs the Bradley Jazz Ensemble, Groove Project and Hilltop Combo. He is a regular member of the Brazilionaires, Four Other Brothers, Inner Light, and JC and the Redemption. He also leads the Central Illinois Jazz Orchestra, a sixteen-piece group comprised of area band directors, music professionals, and professional musicians.
