Dave Hoffman and Friends on Sunday at four in the afternoon, Westminster Presbyterian Church, Peoria has inaugurated a new Jazz Vesper service with Dave Hoffman and various friends filling the church with everything from cool to hot jazz in praise of God. Dave doesn’t water anything down, so we hear the best of his art in this service of worship.
Vespers are a very old tradition in the Christian Church. The form is simple with Scripture, Prayers and music … along with a short Homily (sermon). It is a forty minute service, keeping it within the bounds of possibility for even younger children. We hope it will truly become a way to bridge all age groups … worshipping together each week.

International Music, Wine and Beer Festival

Mackinaw Valley Vineyard in Mackinaw will be hosting its ANNUAL MUSIC and INTERNATIONAL WINE AND BEER FESTIVAL 11:00 am-11:00 pm This year's festival this year will feature over 50 wines and 50 beers for tasting and purchase from around the world. Hometown Community Bank is again our corporate glassware sponsor and the Lions Club will be providing food concessions with the proceeds going for charity. Artisan cheese sampling and sales will be by Ropp Jersey Cheese in the pavilion. Saturday and Sunday there will be music performed throughout the day. Saturday music schedule: 11-3 Stevil Dan Band, 3-6:30pm Greg Williams, 7-11pm 7 WEST. Sunday music schedule: 12-3 Sally Weisenberg Duo, 3-6pm ALEX and the XO's $10pp admission includes souvenir tasting glass and 5 tasting tickets for ages 21 and over, $5 pp ages 13-20, and age 12 and under free.
