Jazz Nights in the Heights at Trailside Event Center, second floor of Trefzger's Bakery, 4416 N. Prospect Road, Peoria Heights.
Derel Monteith Trio returns the Central Illinois Jazz Society concert stage, with Derel on keyboard, Andy Crawford on bass and Jason Brannon on drums, but this time there will be a special guest or two, as well as some music from the genre that Derel calls "the other F word"---fusion! Join us for an evening that will include a selection of pieces from the early electric fusion recordings of Miles Davis, as well as the trio's signature hybrid of Derel's original music and instrumental jazz adaptations of rock songs. The Central Illinois Jazz Society House Band will play during the first set, under the leadership of Larry Harms - sax
