Cassie Hart resides in Bloomington-Normal and performs extensively throughout Central Illinois. She holds a bachelor’s degree in music from Knox College and has 15 years experience fronting her own groups. She led a longstanding gig at Panache for 12 years and has performed regularly at a number of venues in Peoria and Bloomington, including:

In addition to her education in music, Cassie also earned her master's degree in English studies from ISU. She works by day as a as a freelance
writer. Additionally, She serves as editor of the "Jazzscope"
, the official newsletter of the Central Illinois Jazz Society. She has also published music-related articles in the local Arts Alive Magazine and nationally distributed Music Trades Journal, and on eHow.com.
