| | Vibraphonist and pianist Kevin Hart and his various groups have been performing fresh arrangements of classic, contemporary, Latin, and original jazz throughout Illinois since 1993. His groups have performed at numerous concerts and festivals including the Springfield Jazz Festival, Carl Sandburg College Concert Series, CEFCU Concert Series, Rhapsody in Bloom Fest, Peoria Jazz Heritage Fest, Rootabaga Jazz Fest, Viva Chicago, Central Illinois Jazz Society, Taste of Peoria, Taste of Champaign, Sounds of Summer (Urbana), and many more. In addition to many venues throughout the state, Hart has performed an unusually long-standing weekly gig with Mike Nellas at Panache in Peoria since 1997. Kevin has been featured often on WGLT 89.1, WILL 90.9 FM, and WEFT 90.1 FM. Kevin’s Latin Jazz Quintet released "Corazon" in 1996, and his more stylistically eclectic "The Road To Everywhere" featuring Don Heitler, Mike Nellas, Tim Brickner, and Jeff Magby was released in 2005. Kevin has performed and recorded with numerous musicians throughout Illinois and Iowa, and has had unique experiences performing with some legendary jazz artists.
