| | Suit and Tie Guy plays with people till they sicken of him or find better musicians to play with. He follows the conventions of the supper club organ trios of the 1960s, while retaining his Berlin School credibility for electronic music shows. Equally at home behind the organ or in front of a sequencer, he feels his qualities are as bandleader and arranger, then as bassist, then as soloist. The Suit and Tie Guy Band has steadily and reliably churned out a higher number of competant drummers and guitarists than any other band in the Peoria music scene.Currently, in it's 14th life cycle, the Suit and Tie Guy Band features the drumming of Jason Roberts and the guitar plucking of both Nathan Hahn and Alex Rogers. We fractalise for gigs, as organ trios do not normally have four people in them.Notable STGB alumni still active in Peoria include Mike Nellas, Cassie Hart, Erik Swanson, and Joeseph Metzka. Don Berbaum has appeared on recordings only.Locally, we have been found at One World Coffee, Jim's Steakhouse, the Peoria Pizza Works, downtown festivals, and currently at the Seminary St Pub on Acid Jazz Night (opposing sundays from Jazz Night). |
