| | Josh has been playing in and around Peoria for about 15 years, hosting a weekly Thursday night Open Stage almost the entire time! His band, Jonny Quest, still leads the jam at Peoria Pizza Works every week, Thursdays from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Old Fender and Gretsch guitars are Josh's favored ride, and rockabilly, blues, and pop music are staples of the band.
Josh's early guitar education came at the feet of Bob "the Whale" Miller, and is steeped in Chicago blues courtesy of hundreds of hours spent in the city's grittiest blues clubs. Brian Setzer (Stray Cats, Brian Setzer Orchestra) is also a huge influence, for his ability to combine several styles of music in his playing and his depth of technical knowledge and skill.
